The Pulse of Radio reports: SLIPKNOT begins its first solo headlining tour in support of the band's latest album, "All Hope Is Gone", on Friday (January 23) in St. Paul, Minnesota. Frontman Corey Taylor told The Pulse of Radio that fans who saw the group on last summer's Rockstar Energy Mayhem
festival trek will get a different show this time around. "I mean,

World Entertainment News Network reports that SLIPKNOT/STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor plans on taking a break from performing with the two bands so he can put out a solo album.
Taylor
wants to release an LP of his own material and has even built up a
catalog of over 40 songs under consideration for the project.

SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor spoke to Scotland's The Daily Record about his upcoming 35th birthday celebration, which will happen on Monday, December 8 when the band plays Glasgow's SECC.
"That should be a very interesting night," he said. "I'm pretty excited because I turn 35 in Glasgow. We've always had such a good time being in Glasgow. It's one of my favorite cities. SLIPKNOT was honored in the UK-based magazine Total Guitar "reader awards" for the year 2008. The Iowa-based nine-piece won "Solo of the Year" and "Best Video" for "Psychosocial". Jim Root's signature Telecaster also took home the "Hottest Guitar" award.
SLIPKNOT has garnered another Grammy nomination — this time for "Psychosocial", the first single from the band's latest album "All Hope Is Gone", released in August 2008. The song is nominated for "Best Metal Performance".
