SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor spoke to Scotland's The Daily Record about his upcoming 35th birthday celebration, which will happen on Monday, December 8 when the band plays Glasgow's SECC.
"That should be a very interesting night," he said. "I'm pretty excited because I turn 35 in Glasgow. We've always had such a good time being in Glasgow. It's one of my favorite cities. There's something about Glasgow. We've always discovered a lot of good music there, whether we're playing The Garage, The Barrowlands or the SECC. SLIPKNOT was honored in the UK-based magazine Total Guitar "reader awards" for the year 2008. The Iowa-based nine-piece won "Solo of the Year" and "Best Video" for "Psychosocial". Jim Root's signature Telecaster also took home the "Hottest Guitar" award.
SLIPKNOT has garnered another Grammy nomination — this time for "Psychosocial", the first single from the band's latest album "All Hope Is Gone", released in August 2008. The song is nominated for "Best Metal Performance".
